His achievements include finishing second in the 2022–23 Golden Globe Race, following his remarkable recovery from a life-threatening accident during the 2018 edition.
His honours include the Kirti Chakra, Nau Sena Medal, MacGregor Medal and Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award.
